Appearance:
The Belicosos Finos is a very well constructed, very firm and well packed cigar with a smooth, chocolate wrapper and with little veins.
Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up
Aromas of wood and tobacco are present on the wrapper and cocoa on the foot.
Burn/ Draw
The cigar lights up very easily. The draw is on the firm side, as expected from the beginning, but it's not unpleasant. Any uneven burn quickly evens out, while thick grey ash is formed and stays perfectly on the cigar. The ash hangs on for almost 2 inches
Initial third:
It is medium bodied in the beginning, with strong taste of earth and wood, with hints of spice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Middle third:
The cigar turns into a full bodied cigar with plenty of ash. The draw gets slightly looser, but still firm. The flavors are more complex, with the earthy flavor being more intense. We also taste some hay and grass.
Final third:
Spice, wood, cocoa and leather, all well balanced, deliver full and robust flavors. The cigar smokes well until the very end, without becoming hot or overwhelming. A lot of aging potential.
In summary, a strong, tempered, leathery, woody and rich flavors abound! A thick flavored and sumptuous cigar with bold flavors.

By Michael - Just received a cabinet box of Bolivar Belicosos Finos from CT. April 2002 factory date, received in early Oct. 2022. First one out of the box was fantastic. I'm sure these cigars could become even more incredible with age but (a) not necessary for a terrific experience, and (b) maybe not even possible, because I can't see, even in a crowded humidor, these lasting the couple years or so that would make a difference. By the way, CT's cigar quality, service, speed, and secure shipping were, as always, wonderful!
