CT came thru again with a well aged box of these beautiful cigars. Plume, nice oily wrappers, good construction, and wonderful smell. Couldn't ask for a better box! To me these are not as complex as other cigars but are very nice and not over the top.
At the price point it's a good go-to, beginner, and every day smoke. As you let them rest they good much sweeter at least that's what I got.
I got a tremendous amount of Graham Cracker taste off of few of these followed by Cedar, Nut, and a touch of Pepper. Really good smoke! I can see why people call this the under dog of Cuban Cigars. - the best corona gorda from La grande isla , 9/8/2014 By claudio

This Cuban cigar represents a good value in havanas. Cigar is heavy to hold and has a firm to very firm draw. Burns slow and fairly even. Wrapper is golden, veiny, and a bit fragile. Starts off medium and builds into full strength. The flavor and aroma are tones of dry smoke of cedar wood and a spicy, peppery punch on the nose. Not complex but a steady build of woody and pepper tones to the end. Smoke down as far as you can muster. I'd compare it to a H. Upmann Magnum 46 but the Juan Lopez Selection #1 is in a league all it's own.
Boxcode was BUR MAY 11. - Always Delivers a Good Experience , 6/29/2012 By Diver Joe

Had a Juan Lopez No.2 and I did not care too much for it. This box is dated Jun 11 and I wasn't expecting so much. But it was cedar with light spice mildly sweet. Very pleasant and has potential for some time in the humidor. Would recommend this one. - What A Surprise! , 8/15/2011 By PollyWolly (The Cigar Bird)

I just tried these for the first time and what a winner!!! They are so friggin' under-rated that someone should be taken out back behind the barn to be dealt with for oversight.
I was tempted to give them a five-star rating, but I would rather have everyone find out for themselves what a kick-ass cigar this is on their own.
The flavor is indescribable; tastes of what you think is truly a Cuban cigar! What a shocker this cigar was when I drew my first puff... Copious amounts of delicious white smoke that tantalized the senses along with visions of Ernest Hemingway sitting in his favorite bar in Havana chugging on his Mojito while smoking a Habano.
I first picked up on these when I came across a review on Cigar Inspector and decided to try a box. Everyone I have given one to try have had the same reaction. WOW!!!
Man, did I enjoy the shit out of this cigar! Can you tell?
