Established in 1884 by Don Tomás and José Cano, La Flor de Cano manufactures only a limited quantity of handmade cigars which are rolled in the same factory as El Rey del Mundo, Sancho Panza, and Rafael González. Using short filler (Tripa Corta) from leafs grown in the Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta Abajo areas in the Pinar del Río region, simply the best tobacco growing region in Cuba, La Flor de Cano is especially recommended for beginners and aficionados of mild cigars. The La Flor de Cano Selectos and the La Flor de Cano Petit Coronas are the best selling vitolas while more recently the La Flor de Cano Robusto 2018 Regional Edition quickly became a very sought-after cigar among Habanos aficionados.

It is a totally new size created by Habanos, its vitola de galera is called Lirios.
