Dimensions:

Appearance:
The wrapper is smooth, with a nice medium brown color, very chocolatey color. The Maltés is beautiful and well packed all the way.
Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up
On the wrapper, we get some mustiness, not in a bad way, and with some nice tobacco aroma. On the lips, some brown sugar sweetness, while the cold draw gives some hay and some cardboard kind of taste.
Burn/ Draw
The Montecristo Maltés lights up very easily and starts off with mild flavors and body, with pleasant notes of chocolate and wood. Despite being slightly on the loose side at the very beginning, the draw is good.
Initial third:
Soon after the first few puffs, the Maltés greets us with lots of leather, dark soil and spice. After the first inch, the cigar now shows its true Montecristo characteristics: lots of woodiness but no harshness at all, the Maltés became much smoother. The draw is firmer now. The finish is long leaving lots of flavors in the palate for quite some time. Take your time to enjoy this beauty.
Middle third:
In the second third, even more of this Montecristo cedar and beautiful earth. There are also some notes of pepper and of coffee, with just hints of sweetness. The Matlés is still very smooth. Body and strength now at the medium-full mark.
Final third:
Towards the final third the Montecristo Maltés is still burning very slowly and evenly, beautiful construction on this cigar. The smoothness is still there, still a lot of the typical Montecristo flavors, with lots of cedar but now the pepper has become predominant. The aftertaste is still long and powerful, with plenty of earth and toasted flavors. Almost no more sweetness. Few hints of bitterness here and there, expected for what is still a young cigar.
In summary: a true Montecristo but with more strength than the cigars from the regular production line.
Smoking time:
40 - 60 minutes

Has the potential to be really.....
, - This cigar has the potential to be really special! I let the box rest in my humidor for about a month and when I tried the first one I experienced flavors of cocoa, dark chocolate and nuts. Looking forward to the next one in a couple months!
