Montecristo No.4 - 10 cigars [5.1" x 42]
The Montecristo No.4 is full of flavor, warm and mellow when properly aged.
- • The thin ring gauge means this is a very direct and rapid burn and its responsiveness does not wane as it burns.
- • A rich and exciting blend like this needs some age to be at its best.
Wonderful tastes throughout to delight the palate. Always consistent burn and draw.

Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up
The cigar is very well constructed, very firm and well packed. Smooth, oily, chocolate wrapper, with little veins. Semi-box pressed with a lightly colored wrapper and nice cap.
Burn/ Draw
The cigar lights up very easily. The draw is on the firm side, as expected from the beginning, but it's not unpleasant. Razor sharp burn.
Initial third:
It is medium bodied in the beginning, with strong taste of earth and wood, with hints of spice.
Middle third:
The cigar loads the palate with nutty notes and a hint of graham cracker. The draw is slightly looser, but still firm. The flavors are more complex, with the earthy flavor being more intense. The tones of creamy coffee and caramel appear.
Final third:
Spice, wood, cocoa and fruits, all well balanced, deliver full and balanced creamy flavors. A lot of aging potential.
In summary: completely full Cuban flavors of mocha and spicy robust zest.
Smoking time:
45 - 60 Minutes

Montecristo No.2's little brother
, - The Montecristo No.4 is a great short smoke that shares a similar profile with the famous larger Montecristo No.2, featuring notes of coffee, spice, cedar, and that characteristic "tangy" note that Montecristo cigars typically have. These shorter Cuban cigars seem to typically be good to smoke fresh out of the box, unlike larger Double Coronas that generally require several years of aging before becoming truly great.

It’s a Montecristo number four…
, - I read somewhere that they mass produce these and that some people can taste this “rushed“ tendency of this popular size of Montecristo. My first one had a terrible draw and was so so. I waited about a month and tried another two. They are great. The price is right. They are well-made. I do now understand why people really like this size and this particular cigar. If I had 500 of them it would probably still not be enough because I would smoke a couple pretty much every day.

Pleasantly surprised with the No.4!
, - I ordered 10 Montes due to my friends recommendation. I personally enjoy a Robusto but wanted to try these. The exterior wrapper looked fine and the foot as well. The dry draw was a little tight. As I started the draw warmed up fine. The first third was creamy and seemed mild, but the second third kicked in and the flavors came out, the finish was the beautiful taste I love so much from Cuban tobacco. The last third was also excellent. I really took my time and I enjoyed it for one hour and twenty minutes. Very surprised and will strongly recommend the No.4. They arrived within 10 days, and great customer service.
