This is a cigar that I find difficult to keep in the humidor - I can't seem to let them age! The good news is that they are an excellent smoke right out of the box, although I was able to age some for 2 years. They only get better. - Wonderful , 2/13/2016 By Marko

An aristocrat of a smoke! The finest Partagas cigar, and probably the best Prominente of all. Wonderful, full flavors of sweet wood, earth and cocoa. Medium bodied but develops in strength right up to a rich and spicy finish, with a savory aftertaste. - Fantastic Cigar , 9/17/2015 By Michael

One of the best cigars out there in any size. While it is big and powerful, it is not unapproachable. Cigars in this size are better able to showcase the progressive flavor development than their smaller counterpoints and this one is unsurpassed, beginning with light classic notes of a cuban cigar, progressing into wood spice and coffee, and ending in creamy leather and espresso. Fantastic and well worth the money. - Yum , 1/23/2015 By Walt

First off, let me say that this is one of the top five or six Cuban cigars that is counterfeited on a massive scale. Therefore, when you read reviews of this cigar, you may want to keep that thought in mind.
It is often said that the greatest form of compliment is imitation. If there is any credence to that saying, then this cigar could rank as one of the most complemented cigars in the world.
Second, let me put it on record that the most recent Partagas Lusitania that I smoked and based this review on was purchased from CT and is the genuine article. That said, let me go on to give you my impressions of this great Habano:
The size, feel and weight of this behemoth beauty is mind boggling. The wrapper is a stunning canvas of gold, crimson and auburn mixed together. It has an extremely solid body with an almost perfectly smooth feel to the touch. Very few imperfections in the wrapper make it look almost surreal.
Once lit, it exudes a sensual bouquet of various aromas including the sweet smell of a fine pipe tobacco. As it continues to burn, it truly begins to show its regimental colors.
It has a savoriness that delights the nose with hints of black pepper and espresso. Uhmmm...it smells and tastes so good you will not care where you are or what the temperature is for the next almost two hours it takes to smoke this gem.
It will continue to smoke cool, stay lit, and burn even. I do not recall ever having a Lusitania give me any problem at all.
I have been fortunate enough to have had these cigars in my humidor regularly for the last twelve or so years. And once they landed there, they have never stopped coming back to visit.
Sometimes the quality will vary from the factory, but for the most part, they are mostly the same from box to box.
One last caveat: This is a delightful Habano, but it is medium-bodied and not the full throttle Habanos you may be accustomed to smoking.
