Smoking Notes:
Before lighting up:
Upon opening a box of Partagas Serie D No. 4's, you get a cedary and creamy scent. Strong aromas of cedar and honey ooze from the foot of the cigar, while a strong earthy smell is present on the wrapper. The pre-light draw is perfect and the wrapper leaves a sweet flavor on the lips.
Burn/Draw:
The draw is great from the very start. The cigar starts burning unevenly, but corrects itself in the second third. The ash is firm, dark grey – almost black – and stays on the cigar until almost two inches long. The cigar delivers plenty of smoke that has a long peaty, earthy finish, It smokes well until the very end.
Initial third:
The Partagas Serie D No. 4 starts with a coffee and chocolate flavor with the overtone of leather & tobacco. The cigar mellows down and gets more complex. Woody, earthy and sweet with a medium to full body.
Middle third:
In the second third the cigar turns to full body, even chewy. The flavors of the first third become more intense, but not harsh. It is bold and toothy.
Final third:
In the last third the cigar gets even stronger, rich and intense but not overwhelming. It becomes more creamy, complex and refined.
In summary, this is a very tasty cigar with full body, with complex and interesting flavors, without overwhelming the smoker with too much strength.
Smoking time: 45 - 90 Minutes

Always a favorite…..
, - And for good reason. If these aren’t a staple in your humidor, they should be. I’d take one of these over a CoRo any day. They became my favorite 10 years ago and have a box from 2015 aging upon my humidor. The box I just picked up from CT were delivered fast and in perfect, smokable condition. A fantastic cigar. Perfect construction and draw. Spent a hour smoking it down to the nub. Don’t pass these up. Get them while you can.

Perfection
, - The ten pack is perfect. I let them rest for a few months. Tons of smoke. Excellent draw and burn line. CT is my go to source for primo smokes.

The venerable Partagas D4
, - According to Cigar Aficionado magazine, the Partagas Serie D No.4 is the most popular Cuban cigar on earth and it's easy to see why. Equally great whether in a box of 25 or a box of 10 and more full bodied than many other Cubans, the D4 is a true Cuban classic that has strong notes of spice, leather and cedar with a perfectly balanced finish. I recommend putting the full box down for a deep sleep in a humidor for 2-3 years of aging before smoking, as having some age on these cigars really benefits the flavors marrying together and helps to round out the balance and finish.
