This vitola is a great after lunch stogie. It exudes a lot of cedar, cream, cinnamon and coffee throughout the smoke.
Without proper age, however, it is a bit rough with a bite.
I have, also, tried it with 4 years of age and, with its super refined constitution, it truly outshone every and all Cuban brands in this vitola.
IMHO it should be smoked with proper age if you can be patient enough to do so - but, as for me, alas, where is that patience?

I purchased these as a Xmas gift to myself. I have heard a lot of good things about the Trinidad brand and wanted to try some. Box date of 6/12 so these are still quite young and that fact is evident given the quite muted flavors I am experiencing. Some oak/ woodsy flavors and spice w/ a slight saltiness on the tongue. Aroma is of cocoa and coffee. Finish is nice, yet slight. Ash is long and not flaky at all... Burn is even. These will need some more time in the humidor, but I can tell they are going to be a fave quick smoke! - So good and priced well on here! , 1/15/2012 By Jesse

If you were to consider Cuban cigars as stock market investment, then the entire Trinidad line would not only be in the top Dow Jones Industrial Average, but they would easily be Apple or Google stock.
Shortly said, they would be the very best Cuban cigars you could put your money into!
And no matter what size, they are all stellar and deliver solidly each and every time! They are EXCEPTIONAL!!!
I stayed away from them only because of their price, but now that I have found CT, who has made them far more affordable, I have succumbed to smoking them frequently.
One of the members of our cigar smoking group gave me my first Reyes, and since then it has been a wild ride. I will eventually want to buy a box of each size. I just hope that my wife doesn't find out, because my love for these cigars could break up 26 years of happy marriage in the event I have to make a calculated decision...
