I actually prefer this to the Cohiba Robustos, and that's saying a lot. Good burn and perfect draw. The flavors kept developing in complexity on the way down. Strong start but smooth, mellowed to medium strength at the middle. A silky finish of coffee, cocoa, and toasted almonds that intensified right to the nub. This cigar has so much to bring to the table when lit up. Bolivar, being one of the leading frontrunners in the cigar industry has once again came through for the consumer. From its beautiful milk chocolate rapper, to its pronounced earthy flavors, this cigar has the whole package. This vitola towers over the competition when it comes to aging recommendation. Cigars such as the Partagas D-4, Juan Lopez #2 and many other require a lot of aging to really bring out the subtle flavors locked inside. This is a typical Bolivar. It's full of flavor, but it remains smooth from foot to nub. Cedar and leather an earthy cigar. It is what Cuban cigars are supposed to be. They're great young and grow better with age. - Wow 10/10 , 4/29/2014 By Nate

Wow this cigar is wonderful. I smoked one right out of the box! I can't imagine with some age this is going to be such a great smoke. First 1/3rd is so smooth so many flavors a grassy earthiness is definitely present. Almost a hay and very good barn yardiness. The 2nd 2/3 is also so good still very smooth tons of flavor lots of coffee/espresso flavors and some more grassy flavors. The last 3rd is getting spicier but not overwhelming peppery and more coffee, earthy, and spicy. Still very smooth smoked down to nub until burning fingers/mouth.
10/10 and think this cigar is only going to get better with age! So great buy some now! - Very Enjoyable Smoke , 2/4/2014 By James

After C.A. rated this smoke #21 on it's 2013 top 25; I purchased a box to share with some friends. So far I have only smoked one. I like to let them age a little before really judging but so far we all agreed the construction, burn and draw were excellent. The flavor was good little on the spicy side. Not as strong as I expected from "Bolivar."

I simply love this cigar. The box I just received is from Sept 2011 so still young but already has that barnyard taste along with some ammonia. Bolivar is known for their strength. Well, this might not be the strongest but it's strong and flavorful.
Good construction and a great draw with spice that tickles the back of your throat.
Nice flavor that stays with you long after you finished one.
For the Humidor to age and a great price to boot...
