Absolutely delicious cigar, even with only a year of age. The one thing that disappointed me was how mild the cigar is, but that’s coming from someone who regularly smokes Nicaraguan tobacco. You can definitely taste that distinct aroma of Vuelta Abajo tobacco, the best stuff on earth. Go for the 5” No. 2 if you don’t like long cigars. In my opinion, one of the best values out there given the consistent quality of this vitola. I've never smoked a bad No. 2. Construction is never a question. Burn and draw are good. Medium to medium-full body. Notes of earth, cedar, dark chocolate and coffee dominate. Just a hint of creaminess. - Great smoke , 5/19/2016 By Andy

Man, these Montecristos are smoking extremely well right now. The box that came was from Jun 15, so they were a little fresh, but they smoke beautifully anyway. Lots of sweet leather and sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Delicious. I buy my boxes of 10 usually for aging purposes. Smoking a Monte 2 that is "on" is like drawing 2 to an inside Royal Flush... hard to believe.
