Very good, long lasting smoke. Definitely improves with age but my favorite for this size is Rio Seco. Give it a try when you have plenty of time. The second half is (always) best. - Fantastic , 2/9/2016 By JOE

The largest of the Hoyo line, the San Juan is a fantastic cigar. It possesses smoke and a draw, consistently, as one might expect from a far more expensive (and overpriced) Cohiba.
Until the San Juan was released my favourite Hoyos were the Epicure No2 and the Epicure Especial. Although I prefer a stronger cigar, the bouquet of flavour offered here makes this more subtle, yet very smokey, cigar even more attractive.
For those who enjoy larger or longer cigars, there is one benefit to this cigar over, say, a Double Corona. That is, this cigar does not become bitter in the last third or quarter. It is smooth and beautiful from beginning to end.
