The Partagas Serie D No.5 has an overall similar profile to the more famous Partagas Serie D No.4 with notes of spice, leather and cedar. Although not quite as superior a cigar as a well-aged D4, still a very good short smoke.

Bought a box of 10 at the end of July, got them first week of August. I let them sit in the humidor about 6 weeks and smoked one. Good, smooth with nice light spice notes. I will age them a while longer and review. Good buy.

All in all a great smoke with great medium/full body and a very satisfying taste, Leather, wood and spice all resulting in a pleasurable smoke. At its best its better than the D4.

I specifically buy boxes of 10 pieces and don't want to buy D4 which do very massively and with low quality. These D5 I bought in 2017 and they are beautiful as in the photo. The taste of D5 is very close to D4, but the whole series of D should have an exposure of at least 3 years, such cigars will have a 5 star taste
