The marca quickly made a name for itself, by earning four gold medals in several universal exhibitions in the late 19th century, which are still visible on the brand logo (on both sides of the main picture). It then really became popular under the marketing efforts of its new owner, José “Pepin” Rodriguez Fernandez, which acquired the company at the beginning of the 20th century. Pepin notably promoted the brand through horse racing events in Europe and the Americas, by entering his own horse under name of “Julieta”.
