Presentation

The Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleurs comes in a dress box of 10 cigars with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-n-10-n-10

Dimensions:

Length: 129mm (5.1 inches)

Diameter: 16.67mm

Ring gauge: 42

Shape: Petit Corona

Appearance:

The cigar is looking great; it is tightly rolled and packed uniformly from the head to the foot. The wrapper has a consistent medium brown color, a few veins are visible but the seams are perfect and the triple cap is beautiful. On the wrapper, a nice oil sheen of oil is also visible.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

At cold, the wrapper smells of leather and chocolate. The pre-light draw gives some deep flavors of earth and of leather. There are also hints of floral characteristics.

Burn/ Draw

Once cut, the draw is rather firm, but not hampering the smoking experience. Once lit, the Mille Fleurs is generating a lot of velvety smoke, and the finish is short, very fresh and herbal. There are notes of grass and hay on the nose. The cigar is burning well, a little bit wavy at times, only one or two touch-ups are required to correct it. The ash holds on firmly at the foot.

Initial third:

When lighting up the cigar, a rich flavor of leather reaches the palate, mixed up with some earthy, grassy and hay notes. Further on, the classic Cuban cedar taste joins the mix, along with some chocolate, while some sweetness also develops, with some hints of caramel, or floral sweetness. There is also just a bit of pepper and spices on the finish. The body is right at the medium level.

Middle third:

In the middle third, the dominant flavors are still of leather, wood and bitter chocolate. There are also some notes of coffee and of vanilla. The strength hasn’t changed and it is very pleasant to smoke this Mille Fleurs.

Final third:

In the final third, the leather is still dominant while the cedar and the other flavors from the middle third recede in the background. One noticeable change is the addition of a creamy chocolate note.

In summary, it is a great everyday smoke as it is cheap and also ages very well.

Smoking time:

45 - 60 Minutes

Too mild for me , 8/22/2022
By Robert
All of my favorite cigars are at least medium bodied, but I wanted to try these, so I bought 10 several months ago. CT was able to send me a three-year-old box, so I know I'm tasting mature cigars. Thanks, CT! Each of the four I've smoked has burned evenly, with a generous draw, for about an hour. They begin with a sweetish cedary taste that's pleasant, but the flavor does not develop at all during the smoke, and I'm left wanting more flavor and richness. I found the same thing with the RyJ No. 2 and Club King.
More mild than medium , 8/15/2022

After reading the review of these I still decided to order and try them.
I thought the draw and construction was perfect. I had no burn issues, no touch up needed when smoking.
I was a little disappointed in the body of the cigars. For being medium rated, to me they were much more on the mild scale.
I prefer a fuller bodied cigar but though ok... medium.. I can work with that... eh... not so much.
I hope aging them will help them develop into something better... but these will have to wait till then..(because I won't smoke anymore now until the do age more).
Good Taste, Bad Draw , 5/26/2020
By Alan
I bought 3 boxes of 25 because they were on special. The taste was good as expected from Romeo y Julieta. My jaw muscles got stronger as the draw was tough and tight. Taste is 5-star, draw is 1-star, total is 3-star rating.
