Released in 2020, the Ramon Allones No.2 is a 2019 Edición Limitada, an elegant 5.5” (140mm) by 52 ring gauge, and comes in a luxury box of 10 cigars. Revealed at the XXI Festival del Habano in 2019, among the Montecristo Supremos and Quai d’Orsay Senadores, it was only released virtually in late 2020 for some selected guests. The guests had each received an individual gift bag including the cigar, a mini bottle of cognac, a cognac glass and three selected chocolates, which would beautifully pair with the Ramon Allones No.2. The cigars have all been hand rolled with tobacco leaves which have been aged for 2 to 5 years, instead of being rolled with regular tobacco leaves and then aged in their boxes, which gave more time to the flavors No.2 to develop and get richer. The flavors are typical Ramon Allones, reminiscent of the Specially Selected but with some nutiness and more sweetness than the regular production cigar. It is also more powerful than the Specially Selected, a medium to full body cigar and full flavored. The vitola used for the Ramon Allones No.2 is the Campanas, similar to the acclaimed Bolivar Belicosos Finos, which was used only once before for a Ramon Allones when they released the Ramon Allones Belicosos Finos exclusively for the UK market in 2005. Once released in stores, the Ramon Allones No.2 comes in a beautiful green lacquered box with a raised top, which is very different visually from other Edición Limitadas or any other Habanos releases and would magnificently complement the aficionado’s humidor. As many Edición Limitada, the No.2 will surely become a future classic in the next 2 to 5 years, try one out and you will know why. It is hard to only smoke one cigar only as the flavors in the palate makes you want to light one up as soon as possible. Más información

The Ramon Allones Gigantes is a Habanos superstar, a rich medium-full Double Corona, 7.6” (194mm) long, of 49 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is an impressive long cigar, which is perfectly rolled, using long filler and tobacco leaves from Vuelta Abajo region. It is more than just a bigger Ramon Allones Specially Selected, despite having typical Ramon Allones flavors; it has its own character. A very complex smoke, with lots of nutty, floral, leathery, cedar aromas among others, and with a very smooth and creamy profile. Maybe the best Ramon Allones out there, and definitely in the top 5 Double Coronas out of Cuba. A great after dinner kind of smoke. It is a cigar that is not too strong, and then can be enjoyed both by experienced smokers and new comers to Cuban cigars. Más información

The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is a medium-full Petit Corona, 4" (102mm) long, of 40 ring gauge, and comes in 5 packs of 5 cigars. One of the most recent cigars of the Rafael Gonzalez lineup, (released in 2011), and is a pretty short smoke, perfect for a morning break. Its construction is great; it's perfectly rolled and feels nice between the fingers. It smokes beautifully, rather slowly and has a nice creamy profile but also develops some powerful woody aromas. There are also some creamy aromas, some coffee, some spices from pepper and some berries touches. The finish is long, with vanilla and some floral aftertaste. Overall, it is a great little smoke that can age very well and evolve into an even more mellow profile. Más información

The Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extra is a hidden gem, a medium Short Panetela, 5’ (127mm) long, of 36 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. This cigar has been around since the 1930’s, and like other cigars from Rafael Gonzalez it is very smooth and mild, using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Medium body at its peak, its delivers mostly smooth aromas of chocolate, coffee and of amazing tobacco. There are also notes of almond, earth, wood, bread and some floral characteristics. Its amazing construction allows an excellent draw throughout the entire cigar and a memorable smoking experience. Minimum ageing recommended is 3 years. Más información

This cigar starts very powerful and aggressive, which is very unique to this particular cigar. The tobacco flavor prevails; it is a true Cuban cigar. The Quintero y Hermano Brevas is a top-class Habanos, a creamy medium Corona, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 41 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is one of the cheapest Cuban cigars available but you won’t find it everywhere. Some will love it, others may not, but it surely has it fans. It is a very nice hand finished Habanos, still much better than many other non-Cuban cigars. Más información

It follows the steps of the recently released No.50 and No.54, being a well-balanced smoke, with plenty of sweetness, chocolate, cedar, earth and leather. Being a Limited Edition cigar, it is rolled with tobacco which has been aged more at least 2 years and it comes in an elegant golden brown lacquered box which will complement an aficionado's humidor.
