The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles, part of the new top tier segment of the brand, is a delightful Pyramid, which comes in a box of 20 cigars. The “Linea de Oro”, literally the “golden line” in Spanish is the pendant of the Maduro 5 line for the Cohiba, the top of the crop among the Romeo y Julieta brand, launched to celebrate the brand's 145th anniversary. Habanos released three totally new cigars, which are among the biggest ring gauge cigars available among Habanos, the Hidalgos, the Nobles and Dianas. The Nobles vitola is called a Triangulares, 56 ring gauge by 5 ⅜ inches and, as the other two, comes in a refined high lacquered box of 20 cigars. One can right away see that these cigars are different from the regular production line, as the box is painted in a very elegant red and gold colors, adorned with an embossed golden medallion on the lid, representing the classic balcony scene. Each cigar comes with a specific Linea de Oro band with the name of the cigar as well as a secondary golden band at the foot. The Hidalgos, Nobles and Dianas are all stronger than the regular Romeo y Julieta cigars, their strength around medium to full. The Montecristo No.3 is a creamy and complex underrated cigar, of Corona format, of 42 ring gauge, 5.6” (142mm) long and comes in a box 25 cigars. It is slightly bigger than the Montecristo No.4 but smaller than the No.1, two very famous cigars. Therefore, it creates a bridge between the two, it has the same ring gauge as the No.4 but slightly longer. It benefits from the usual Montecristo quality and flavor profile, lots of coffee, earthiness and wood. It is a beautiful Corona that can both appeal to experimented smokers and to the beginners.. The Montecristo No.1 is of Lonsdale format, or Cervantes, 42 ring gauge and 6.5 inches (165mm) in length. As opposed to No.2 and the No.4, the No.1 is little known, and this is a shame because this little stogie packs a true Montecristo experience in a perfectly rolled cigar. It is also a pretty strong smoke, oscillating between a medium and a medium to full bodied cigar. It is nevertheless very creamy and smooth. There are lots of earth, cedar, tobacco flavors as you would expect from a Cuban cigar, but there are also many other flavors, such as strong nuts, all kind fruits, some citrus, chocolate, vanilla. Everything works well together; the balance of flavors is always under control. This is a cigar that worth a try, especially when it is 2 years of age. Más información

Released in 2020 to celebrate Juan Lopez’ 150th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of La Casa del Habano franchise network. This is why this cigar stands out, with its highly lacquered luxury box which stays shut thanks to magnets. The vitola used for this Seleccion Especial is the very rarely used Fortuna, similar to a Double Robusto. The cigar is rolled to perfection and is medium bodied, offering plenty of wood, spices and other Cuban flavors. It goes very well next to a light lunch or as an early evening smoke. This makes a great cigar to keep for special occasions or to keep aside and enjoy when the flavors get even rounder in a few years time. Más información

The Hoyo du Maire is part of Le Hoyo Series and is of Small Panetela/Entreactos format, 30 ring gauge and 3.9 inches (100mm) in length. This cigar is part of the Le Hoyo series, a special series made for a Swiss distributor in the years 1940's and, as the cigars from this series, is pretty different than other Hoyo de Monterrey. The Hoyo du Maire, is a medium to full flavored cigar, with tobacco and wood as main flavors. There are also lots of toasted aromas, and notes of leather, cream and a bit of tea notes. Despite being a pretty short smoke, not more than half an hour, but still manages to provide the typical Cuban "twang" with a lot of complexity, while never being over powerful. The Cuaba Divinos is a powerful and tasty small cigar, of Petit Bouquet format, 43 ring gauge, 4" (101mm) long and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is masterfully made by some incredibly gifted roller, as the balanced double figurado is packed with flavors of honey, moist earth and pepper with an overtone of wood and spice. The Cuaba Divinos is the smallest of the Cuaba's. In spite of its small size, it ages very well. The Divinos is a powerful full bodied smoke and the strongest of the Cuaba line. It is a 1996 release.
