The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe LCDH is a light yet rich Magico, 4.5” (115mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 10 cigars box. In 2012 Hoyo de Monterrey, one of the oldest Habanos brand, decided to launch an exclusive line for La casa del Habano, and released the Epicure de Luxe. It is only using tobacco from the most valuable area in Cuba, the famous Vuelta Abajo. This smoke packs all the typical Hoyo de Monterrey’s flavours into a small yet exclusive cigar, that is comparable to the 2012 Limited Editions, but which is cheaper than these. The construction is superb, it is fully handmade, its high level of quality is on par with any cigar out of La Casa del Habanos. On the flavor profile, it is rather light in taste yet shows a great level of complexity and control of aromas. The H.Upmann Magnum 46 is a Cuban classic, a rich and complex medium-full Coronas Gorda, 5.6” (143mm) long, of 46 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is one of the most popular cigars of the brand with huge aging potential, with a strong following. Sadly The H. Upmann Magnum 46 is not as popular as it should be. The Cuaba Tradicionales is a delicious medium-full Habano, of Favoritos format, 4.7” (120mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. The Cuaba Tradicionales is where it all started for the Cuaba brand; this vitola inspired all their other vitolas. For this reason, it is as smooth as the other four formats and the same kind of wrapper and texture. For a tapered cigar, its size is right for providing the best draw and combustion. It begins with an earthy taste mixed with other flavors suggesting especially dark chocolate notes. The end is quite lingering. Más información

The Cuaba Distinguidos is an elegant and exceptional medium to full Habano, of 52 ring gauge, 6.4” (162mm) long and comes in a box of 10 cigars. As each Cuaba cigar, this vitola stands out from the crowd being an elegant double figurado, reminiscent of the cigars famous in the 1900s. It is not a flat cigar, but instead it is bulging around the foot and its both ends are tapered in a pigtail manner; however the tails have been cut off. The quality of the cigar stands out in the way it is rolled and by its amazing blend. The flavors provided by cigar are of the same high quality. It is really a must try stogie. Más información

The Cohiba Siglo II is an all-star cigar, a medium bodied Mareva, with 42 ring gauge, 5” (129mm) long and comes in a 5 packs of 5 cigars. Very well constructed cigar, it reflects Cohiba’s attention to detail and strive for perfection. The cigar smokes slowly and packs the typical Cohiba flavors in a shorter vitola. The Cohiba Siglo I is an outstanding Cuban smoke, a rich and smooth Petit Corona, of 40 ring gauge, 4" (102mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. This is the shortest cigar in the Linea 1492.This small format Habano, short and thin gauge, is a quick smoke. The burn is even and nice. A perfect choice for a short break. The Siglo I is mild in taste, due to the kind of tobacco leaves (much lighter) used for the filler. The wrapper is also very nice, with very fine veins. Más información

In a dual celebration, Habanos S.A., the Cuban cigar distributor, introduces the Cohiba Siglo de Oro, a fresh offering that pays homage to the Lunar New Year while commemorating the 30th anniversary of the iconic Línea 1492, also recognized as the “Siglo Series.” This special release not only marks the advent of the new year but also honors the three-decade legacy of the Linea 1492, a cornerstone of Cohiba’s success.

Following the tradition initiated in 2019 with the Romeo y Julieta Maravillas No.8 (Year of the Rat), the Cohiba Siglo de Oro stands as the fourth release by Habanos S.A. crafted in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, which is the year of the Rabbit.

Only 18,888 boxes have been crafted, a number symbolizing luck in Chinese culture due to the significance of the number 8. Each box bears a unique serial number displayed on a golden badge inside the lid, alongside an NFC chip. This cutting-edge technology allows users to scan the box with their smartphones for instant authentication and access to additional information about the cigars. Remarkably, this marks the first instance of NFC technology being integrated into a Cuban cigar box, functioning seamlessly even through the closed wooden box and outer packaging.

Additionally, a secondary band adorns each of these new Cohibas, representing the Year of the Rabbit, the current animal in the Chinese zodiac. The phrase "Year of the Rabbit" is also imprinted on the intricately designed, beveled box, along with a stylized logo commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Línea 1492 brand. While 2023 officially marked the Year of the Rabbit, it's worth noting that the Línea 1492 brand was introduced in 1992, making this anniversary celebration slightly delayed.

The Don Alejandro gets its name after one of the most famous Cuban tobacco grower, Alejandro Robaina, which was working for the family business even before the revolution. Its amazing tobacco, growing in the Vuelta Abajo region, was many times honored by the Cuban government as Vegas Robaina was named best tobacco grower during the 1990’s. The Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro is of Prominente format, 49 ring gauge and 7.6 inches (194mm) in length and was launched in 1997 along with the brand other vitolas. It is a very beautiful cigar to start with; the wrapper is incredibly smooth and has a nice milk chocolate color. The cigar smoke starts off with lots of chocolate and creamy coffee. There is also some leather, some nuts, a bit of wood and vanilla. Some notes of cherries are also to be found. The cigar is very smooth, never too harsh, oscillating between a medium and a medium-full body. The construction is impeccable, flawless draw from the start to the finish, sharp burn line, slow burn and smokable until the nub. A great Double Corona. Más información

The Trinidad Robusto T is a complex and tasty medium bodied Habanos, 4.9” (124mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a 24 cigars box. It is a smoke that is full flavors of tobacco, cream, cedar and spices. Very well constructed cigar that will please the aficionados of the Cohiba Siglo VI and of the Robustos Extra. Más información

The Trinidad Robusto Extra is a Habanos classic, a 6.1" (155mm) by 50, praised by all aficionados, coming back in a neat travel humidor of 14 cigars. To the dismay of many, the Trinidad Robusto Extra was discontinued in 2012, it is now available again but in a rare and luxurious travel humidor (only 10,000 are available) only sold at Duty-Free and Travel retail markets. Presented online during the Virtual Travel Retail Expo in late 2020, this humidor is the latest release in the series of Travel Humidors. Not only its limited quantity, but also the high quality materials used for this humidor (suede cover, high quality cedar wood lining) will make it very attractive to the collectors. This mini-humidor includes 14 cigars, a hygrometer and humidifier to preserve the cigars in the best condition possible while traveling. As every Trinidad cigar, the 14 Robusto Extras have all been rolled by hand by the best torcedores with tobacco leaves (long leaf filler) grown in the famous Vuelta Abajo region. The head is of course finished in the distinctive Trinidad “pigtail”. The cigars are also double banded, with a special and very elegant gold-foiled foot band. This vitola, also called Dobles (T) in the Cuban factories, is of very aesthetic proportion.

The Trinidad Reyes is a smooth and flavorful medium-bodied Petit Corona, 4.3” (110mm) long, of 40 ring gauge, and comes in 5 packs of 5 cigars. Due to its short format and its smaller ring gauge, the Trinidad Reyes might feel harsher than other Trinidad vitolas, but it is definitely from the same brand as the flavors are typical Trinidad.
