The Hoyo de Monterrey Primaveras is a 2021 special release Habano, a 6.62” (167mm) by 48 ring gauge, and comes in a luxury box of 18 cigars. It is celebrating the Chinese zodiac calendar, 2021 being the year of the Ox, which brings prosperity and wellness. The number 8 is considered a lucky number in the Chinese culture and it is pronounced ‘Fa’ which can be translated to ‘well off’ and ‘getting rich in a short time’. Presented virtually by the Habanos distributor for the Southeast Asia region, the 18 cigars come in an elegant enameled red and gold box, with the words “Year of the Ox” printed on the lid. The cigar is a Grand Corona, or more precisely a vitola de galera called Hermosos No. 1, which was previously used for the Montecristo Dantés Edición Limitada 2016, the Romeo y Julieta Hermosos No. 1 Edición Limitada 2003 and a La Casa del Habano exclusive release, the San Cristobal Mercaderes. Like all Hoyo de Monterrey cigars, it is medium in strength, so it shouldn’t be paired with something too strong, but is a great morning cigar which should only get better with some ageing. The Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas is a smooth Habano, light-medium Prominente, 7.6” (194mm) long, of 49 ring gauge, and comes in a 50 cigars cabinet. For some, they say this is the best cigar in the world. This Double Corona has already confirmed its rank in the marketplace: it's a great smoke. The only complain that could be made about this cigar come from very seasoned aficionados who would say it might not be strong enough. As all vitolas from Hoyo de Monterrey this Doble Coronas (Double Coronas) is extremely well constructed. It has a smooth oily wrapper, a good draw and strong aromas. Every modern Habano has somehow been influenced by this amazing cigar, but it is in a league of its own. It is softer in touch and creamier than the Partagas Lusitanias and the Double Coronas from Punch, it appears also bigger when in hand. Más información

The H Upmann Magnum 50 is an elegant Cuban medium smoke, of Double Robusto format, 50 ring gauge, 6.3" (160mm) long and comes in cabinet of 50 cigars. Very elegant, it has all the characteristics and taste of a H Upmann cigar. A superb cigar that any cigar connoisseur ought to try. Released as a Limited Edition in 2005, due to its huge success, Habanos decided to make it a standard production in 2008, to the delight of its many aficionados. Más información

The H.Upmann Magnum 46 may be the best Corona Gorda, a bold yet smooth smoke, 5.6” (143mm) long, of 46 ring gauge, and comes in a 50 cigars cabinet. It is one of the most popular cigars of the brand with huge aging potential, with a strong following. Sadly The H. Upmann Magnum 46 is not as popular as it should be. However this Upmann has garnered its own accolades over the past few years, since 2003 the cigar has been rated twice, each time scoring 92 points. Más información

The Diplomaticos Reserva Exclusiva is a Medium Full, 5.9” (150mm) by 50 Geniales and comes in boxes of 25 cigars. It a 2020 exclusive release for the Caribbean region, which is only the third Regional Edition for the Caribbean region after the La Gloria Cubana Paraiso in 2014 and Juan Lopez Short Torpedos in 2008. Only 2,400 boxes have been made in Cuba and each box is numbered. The cigars are handmade with long filler with selected leaves from Vuelta Abajo plantations, -considered the best tobacco zone in the world- in the region of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Más información

The Cohiba Siglo VI an amazing medium to full Canonazo, of 52 ring gauge, 5.9” (155mm) long and comes in aluminum tubes in a box of 15 cigars. It is a beauty to behold; you would be hard-pressed to find a list of today’s top cigars that didn’t include the Cohiba Siglo VI. With its perfect construction, it is for many the best Cohiba, if not of above all the other Habanos. This thick Cuban toro (also known as a canonazo) was a 2002 release. Más información

The Cohiba Siglo V is an incredible medium strength Lonsdale, of 43 ring gauge, 6.7” (170mm) long and comes in aluminum tubes in a box of 15 cigars. Rated #2 Cigar of the Year 2009 by Cigar Aficionado, it fully deserves this award as it is a perfectly rolled cigar, with a flawless draw and an amazing burn. Powerful flavors are developed by this vitola, which is unique in Cohiba’s lineup, there are lots of cedar, leather, earth, pepper, some sweetness and a constant creaminess. The price is not a deterrent for its many fans, who value this Habano as the best from the Siglo Linea. Más información

Cohiba is without a doubt the Cuban expert at rolling cigars, they can produce cigars of all shapes, and yet again they deliver an outstanding puro.
