The H.Upmann Regalias is a great morning Habano, a light-medium Petit Corona, 5.1” (129mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It has a nice construction and burns very well. It is a perfect cigar for a morning smoke, or an afternoon smoke, that can appeal both to seasoned smokers and newcomers to Habanos. The cigar has a nice complexity of flavors, toasty tobacco, cedar, coffee, sweetness of honey, some spices, some leather and some floral note. The constant creaminess of the cigar makes it one of the best Petit Corona out of Cuba. The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe LCDH is a light yet rich Magico, 4.5” (115mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 10 cigars box. In 2012 Hoyo de Monterrey, one of the oldest Habanos brand, decided to launch an exclusive line for La casa del Habano, and released the Epicure de Luxe. It is only using tobacco from the most valuable area in Cuba, the famous Vuelta Abajo. This smoke packs all the typical Hoyo de Monterrey’s flavours into a small yet exclusive cigar, that is comparable to the 2012 Limited Editions, but which is cheaper than these. The construction is superb, it is fully handmade, its high level of quality is on par with any cigar out of La Casa del Habanos. On the flavor profile, it is rather light in taste yet shows a great level of complexity and control of aromas. The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.1 is a smooth Habano, a rich Corona Gorda, 5.6” (143mm) long, of 46 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is a cigar of the next to perfect construction; the wrapper is smooth and slightly oily. It is smoking beautifully and the draw on this cigar is flawless. On top of that, the flavor profile of this stogie is incredible. Definitely a must-try for all the fans of Corona Gorda vitolas. There are flavors of wood, earth, hay and nuts. There is also lots of creamy espresso, and some mineral notes. It might not be the most complex cigar, but it nevertheless won’t let you indifferent. Some delicate touches of pepper also spice up the Epicure No.1, whereas in terms of strength, it never goes over a medium body. Very similar to a Partagas or a Romeo y Julieta in term of appearance and flavor profile. It also has a great potential for ageing. Más información

The Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.3 is a medium bodied Robusto, 4.92” (125mm) by 54 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 25 cigars. First released in Spain in September 2023, it is a new vitola, marking a departure from the traditional shapes of the Epicure line. The production name for this entirely new format is "Originales," and is the fourth addition to the popular "Línea Epicure" range. With its excellent construction and richly layered flavor profile, the Epicure No. 3 undoubtedly deserves a place in any regular cigar rotation.

The Hoyo de San Juan from Hoyo de Monterrey is a tasty Habano, of Geniales format, of 54 ring gauge and 5.9” (150mm) long and comes in a 10 cigars cabinet. Released at the 2014 Habanos Festival, this big ring gauge cigar is reminiscent of the old brand, but with a modern twist that appeal to many big ring gauges aficionados. It sports a new band which reads “Serie Le Hoyo” but as any Hoyo de Monterrey, it is hand rolled only using tobacco from San Juan y Martínez district, where the brand was born in 1865. It is of light to medium flavor, very aromatic and rich smoke. One of the best Hoyo out there. Has a great potential for aging, which would make it even smoother. Más información

The Hoyo du Maire is part of Le Hoyo Series and is of Small Panetela/Entreactos format, 30 ring gauge and 3.9 inches (100mm) in length. This cigar is part of the Le Hoyo series, a special series made for a Swiss distributor in the years 1940's and, as the cigars from this series, is pretty different than other Hoyo de Monterrey. The Hoyo du Maire, is a medium to full flavored cigar, with tobacco and wood as main flavors. There are also lots of toasted aromas, and notes of leather, cream and a bit of tea notes. Despite being a pretty short smoke, not more than half an hour, but still manages to provide the typical Cuban "twang" with a lot of complexity, while never being over powerful. This is a very good choice for a first Cuban smoke. Más información

The Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 is a rich and tasty medium Habanos of Grand Corona format, 5.6” (143mm) long, of 46 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. The Juan Lopez brand is one the oldest founded in Cuba, in 1876. Released in 1990s, it is fully hand-made with Vuelta Abajo filler leaves. It can be sometimes hard to find, as the production can be interrupted at times, due to high quality standards. It is a Corona Gorda format, an extraordinary compromise between a Churchill, a Hermoso No.4 and a Corona. It is full of flavors; the aromas are well balanced between woodsy, earthy, sweet and peppery aromas and some creaminess to bind it all. The texture of the Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 is amazing, generates lots of creamy smoke and an amazing taste. It can be both enjoyed young and fresh or with some more age and would delight both the beginner and the cigar aficionado. In short, a very impressive smoke by a lesson-known Cuban brand. The Montecristo Media Corona is a medium-full short Habano, a Half-Corona, 3.5” (90mm) long, of 44 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 25 cigars. As other newer cigars, Habanos released this very short vitola (the shortest hand rolled cigar along with the H Upmann Half Corona), that fits perfectly the need for customers to enjoy a Cuban cigar in a short time. This vitola is totally hand made with long filler, using leaves from Vuelta Abajo, known for producing the best tobacco leaves in the world, in the region of Pinar del Rio. As expected from Montecristo, the Media Corona is perfectly rolled, a great draw and smokes beautifully. It is a bit more powerful than other Montecristos, because of its shorter length, so expect a body ranging from a medium to a medium-to-full. The flavor profile is typical of Montecristo, sweetness, cream, cedar, nuts, floral notes and coffee. It is a beautiful cigar that should be a hit among Cuban cigar aficionados. Más información
