Appearance:

The Vegueros Centrofino has a rustic look which is not a disgrace, it gives a lot of charm to it. The wrapper is of a beautiful chocolate brown color and there are no imperfections. The construction looks spot on.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

The cold draw is smooth and gives some woody notes.

Burn/ Draw

The draw right from the get-go and remains effortless until the end. The burn is not an issue either and each puff generates a large volume of smoke.

Initial third:

The main flavors in the first third are dark coffee, earthiness, leather and some spices (curcuma). The body is at a medium to full level. It is very pleasant even despite some touches of ammonia which is expected due to the young age of the cigar.

Middle third:

The strength ramps up a bit in the second third, even if the body is still not quite at the full mark. The flavors are more intense now, the dark espresso is more pronounced, with still plenty of earth and with the addition of some woody notes. Some pepper is also noticeable. The draw remains very good to this point.

Final third:

The final third is very enjoyable and similar to the second third but just more intense, especially with stronger pepper notes. The body remains just under the full mark.

In summary: a great Cuban smoke that is great right out of the box and that should benefit from some aging.
