The Trinidad Casilda Colección Habanos is a La Casa Del Habanos exclusive release, a 7.28” (185mm) by 53, and comes in a book-shaped box of 24 cigars. Released in 2019, this is the perfect collectors’ item as its supply is surely very rare, being sold exclusively at La Casa Del Habanos stores and as only 3,000 boxes have been produced, each box being numbered from 1 to 3,000. As it is part of the Colección Habanos, it comes in a mandatory and very elegant book-shaped wooden cabinet, which never offered that many cigars except the “Obras Completas” Edition (released in 2011) which holds 30 cigars. As expected is among the pricier cigars out of Cuba.

The cigar itself is also unique; being of Sobresalientes No.2 vitola (Double Robusto shape), it is a massive cigar, perfectly rolled with tobacco grown in the Vuelta Abajo region. As every Trinidad cigar, the triple cap ends with the typical Trinidad pigtail.

The Sancho Panza Belicosos is a smooth and tasty medium-full bodied Pyramid, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Sancha Panza, an old Habanos brand whereas not being the most famous, is known for several great vitolas , such as the Belicosos and the Molinos that were very popular one century ago. Thankfully, the Belicosos is still around and available. It is a praised cigar among aficionados of Habanos. The San Cristobal La Punta is a creamy and rich medium bodied Pyramid, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is hand rolled using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It gets its name from one of the fortress of La Habana that used to defend the city during the Spanish Latin America Empire times. Despite its lack of fame, it is definitely a cigar that worth a try. Like other vitolas from the San Cristobal marca, La Punta cigar is pretty smooth, medium range in strength, overall very creamy and which develops a nice complexity of flavors along the whole smoke. There is plenty of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty aromas, fruits notes, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is a delicious sweetness along the whole cigar too. The San Cristóbal de La Habana 20 Aniversario, a La Casa del Habano exclusive release, is 6.3” (162mm) by 52 ring gauge, and comes in a humidor of 20 cigars. Its official vitola name is the Capuleto, of Double Robusto size, only used once before by Hababanos with the Romeo y Julieta De Luxe Edición Limitada of 2013. First announced in 2019 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the brand launched in 1999, the San Cristobal de La Habana 20 Aniversario only hit the shelves in late 2020, and is sold exclusively in La Casa del Habanos stores around the world. This is the third LCDH exclusive release from San Cristóbal, after the Mercaderes and the Murallas released in the mid 00’s and now discontinued. Habanos really stepped up their presentation with these cigars, as they come in a beautiful pirate’s treasure chest shaped humidor, with a mix of light and dark woods. The cigars themselves are looking amazing, massive in size but tightly packed and virtually flawless. In addition to the usual San Cristóbal band, there is also a second band, reserved to the “La Casa del Habano” exclusive cigars. The Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchills is a smooth, with 55 ring gauge, 5.1” (130mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. It is one of the latest additions by Habanos S.A. to the Romeo y Julieta brand. After the Short Churchill was released with great success in 2006, Romeo and Julieta modelled all their newer vitolas after this awesome cigar. The Romeo y Julieta Petit Churchills is a tasty and balanced medium bodied Petit Robusto, 4" (102mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Great success since it was released in 2004, all the major brands released such a vitola, with their own typical aromas but with the same characteristics. The Petit Churchills is Romeo y Julieta response to Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas and Trinidad. Like all Petit Robustos, it is a short and robust cigar, which is quick to smoke but doesn’t compromise on the coolness and the comfort of a larger ring gauge. The Romeo y Julieta Maravillas 8 is a 2020 special released Habano, a 6.1” (155mm) by 55 ring gauge, and comes in a luxury box of 8 cigars. It is celebrating the Chinese zodiac calendar, 2020 being the year of the Rat, which symbolizes wealth and surplus. The number 8 is considered a lucky number in the Chinese culture and appeals to the Chinese market with its beautiful red lacquered luxury box (red is the symbol of good fortune and joy), with some golden touches (a stylized golden rat), which color refers to wealth. Released for the Asian market, the Maravillas 8 cigar is shaped into a Maravillas No.3 vitola de galera, the same used by the Montecristo 520, a 2012 Limited Edition.

The Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No.4 is a rich and elegant strong Corona Extra, with 48 ring gauge, 5" (127mm) long and comes in a box of 50 cigars. It similar to the Petit Coronas from the same brand, and full of flavors. It has obviously some familiarity with the other Marevas from Romeo y Julieta. It reveals some earthy, woody aromas, and also a good amount of leather and some hints of spice on the tongue. The construction is wonderful, it is a beautiful hand rolled stogie, and the packaging, the magnificent aluminum tube, makes it a cigar that every cigar enthusiast should have in his humidor. The Romeo y Julieta Club Kings is a medium Petit Corona cigar of 42 ring gauge, part of the Habanos Línea Retro series announced in 2017. Initially planned in 2011, it was finally released in 2018 after years of waiting. The original Club King from Romeo y Julieta was discontinued in the 1980s to the dismay of many aficionados.
