El Rey del Mundo
El Rey del Mundo (King of the World in Spanish) used to be the most sought-after cigar manufacturer in the world, the aficionados prized its perfect construction and its mellow strength. Allegedly founded by German businessman Emilio Ohmstedt in 1848, who also established the Sancho Panza marca, the company was then transferred to Díaz Hermanos y Cía and the production was relocated to a factory in Havana, where the equally popular marcas Sancho Panza, Rafael González and Flor de Cano are also manufactured.
The El Rey del Mundo cigars tend to be mild in strength and its best sellers are the Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme and the Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse while recently the Rey del Mundo Choix du Roi Belux Regional Edition 2016 has become an aficionados' favorite.
